Day 61: The End

Day: Saturday 29th January

Well, the end of the trip is nigh.
I checked out & went to the supermarket to buy a bunch of american candy for my friends back home.
I went to a sports shop & got rid of all my left over american dollars on some new snowboarding pants - very good quality, but probably not the best deal. Oh well, i got rid of the $$ in my wallet.

Then caught the flight from Denver to LAX. The flight was good cos it was upgraded with the free voucher i got at Xgames. So they gave me a free snack, free TV usage, a comfier seat and preferential boarding time.

Waited in LAX airport then for my flight at midnight...boring airport that one. Not even internet to use.
Since I couldnt check in online I got drafted with a window seat on a full flight which kinda sucked...but just by stroke of luck i sat next to an orthodontist and the guy who manufactures dental equipment. The guy who did the equipment actually decked out Griffith Uni and all the dental chairs there which was pretty funny. They were cool people and they gave me contact details of one of their dental hygienist friends up in mt.gravatt whom they think might know people to help me look for a job. You never know but its insanely lucky if that results in a job for me.

Landed in Bris & caught the train & got picked up by sabrina and nirmani. Had a quick shower & julian came & said hi & picked me up & we went around to louwen's new place where we just played a bit of xbox. Came home & started getting things ready for a bit of a party but i fell asleep I was soo tired. Slept right through everyone coming over and only woke up at about 6am! Coming back home to a bunch of friends was great & made the return home much easier though lol.
I guess another party will have to come soon then :)

What an awesome trip I had. Probably the best I've ever had so far. The people I met & the luck that seemed to follow me around was just soo good. I can easily see myself going to live for a working holiday some point in the future. If not for the American life, then more so for the friends ive made and the mates over there. Proof once again, that it's the people that make or break a place. We shall see.
Until next time,
Blog signing off & thanks for reading!
:)
