Day 23: Brooklyn

Caught the train to Brooklyn and got off somewhere random.
We didn't have maps or know how to use the subway.
Our goal was a bit of cheap shopping and a view of Manhattan NY skyline.
Somehow we stumbled across the shopping district by stroke of luck.
Most of the shops were kind of like Best & Less or Lowes and there was decent stuff for decent prices. None of us bought much, jason got a sweater but that was about it.

We had lunch at a terriaki chicken place and ended up sitting down watching things on Richards iphone for a good hour. Nice chill session though.

Ended up walking to the nearest landmark we could find - the brooklyn bridge - and walked across it at about sunset.
Awesome view - got some photos & view of statue of lib & a nice sunset.
Couldn't find the park where you get the full view of the skyline though unfortunately so there's a bunch of suspension bridge cables in all our photos :P

Brooklyn was interesting..completely different feel from manhattan. Soo many african americans & mexicans. Whites really are becoming a minority. It's funny too because the stereotype of them are soo true. They all wear baggy clothes, bling and talk real cool and loud :)

Oh yeah, it is Wednesday. So far during this trip; every wednesday has involved a drinking session of large (huge) proportions. We are now researching clubs and places which will let us out under 21. Tonight may involve drinking. Will let you know tomorrow. The lads are sick though so maybe not.
