Day 6: Canmore & Lake Louise

Lake Louise Ski Village today :)

It was still dark when we left, but as we were driving the sun was peeking up and lighting up the mountains and it was soo epic and beautiful. I'd easily reckon this is one of the most picturesque places on earth. And we are staying here. Right in the middle of it. Its soo cool.

Loooong day but soo good. I was a bit rocky at first since I havent snowboarded in about 2 years but picked it up again by the end of the day.

We were really lucky with the weather too. It was very warm for this time of year. Normally its -20 degrees celcius, we had a balmy -5 so it was awesome and relieving because the week prior they had temps of -49degrees. Soo cold you could put a mug of hot chocolate out in the cold and it will be frozen in about a minute.

The snow was mediocre as since this part of Canada is soo inland it doesn't get much sea moisture.
But the view. oh my god. Words will never do it justice, neither will pictures. But yeah. Beautiful clear day too.

A swim in the heated jacuzzi before retiring for the day.
Going to another resort tomorrow 'Sunshine' which is on the other side of the hills and closer to banff. Hopefully the snow will be a little better, but even if it isn't, the fact that I am here and am able to see the sights what i have seen is more than enough to be thankful for. People all too often forget places like this exist getting caught up in the daily grind.
